Randi and Jared were a total blast to photograph -- so in love and so expressive about it. We even got a lucky break from all the summer rain spells, so we had time to hit the streets for some Tribeca fun. :)

I flew out to Austin this weekend to photograph Rachel and Sterling's wedding at the beautiful Mercury Hall. I was super excited to hear they were getting married since I knew them both from Baylor, where Rachel and I took French classes together all through college. (She's working on her PhD now... wow!)
Austin is such a beautiful city, and so relaxing -- but Rachel, Sterling, and their wonderful families were the reason I enjoyed myself so much.

The pictures are beautiful. You captured some special and unique moments. Great job!
(06.05.09 @ 04:31 AM)Lauren,
You did an absolutely fabulous job! You certainly captured the love Sterling and Rachel share for each other. Now I fully realize what Rachel meant when she said, "No one else will do but Lauren to take my wedding photographs!!!". You took a very, very special day and made it even more special. It was a true pleasure to meet you. Thanks for everything. With sincere thanks, Dana Pate (aka Mother-of-the-Bride)
Naturally, inspiration like that can only be found in Texas. Lauren, you're a gem, so glad to have you in the circle.
(06.05.09 @ 10:19 AM)Lauren! The pictures look absolutely AMAZING! I can't wait to see the rest. When I move back to nyc this summer I will need new headshots, so I hope you'll be able to do them!
(06.05.09 @ 11:24 AM)These are great! I've never seen anyone shoot through the windows at Mercury Hall. Great idea!!!
(07.11.09 @ 05:51 AM)Hi Lauren,

I promise I'm going to catch up with weddings and engagements soon. I feel like it's been forever since I posted one. Megan and Ben's wedding was such a fun day -- it was one of the first warm days of spring, and the perfect way for Megan and Ben to begin their SIX-MONTH HONEYMOON around the world! They left their jobs, apartment, put all of their things in storage, and are currently jetting around the globe. Amazing. :)

They had their first meeting on the roof deck of the Ravel Hotel, overlooking Manhattan.

Their wedding cake was amazing -- there were two little runners on the top, which is how Megan and Ben met, while running a marathon. (Ben made the cake himself!)

beautiful. i love the blue (teal? aqua?) wall behind them in the first shot. amazing!
